ANTONYM

I am a word that is opposite
in meaning to another
my content is clearly stated on the bottle

I am of a contrary kind
the other of a contrasted pair
I am no simile

I am against stop at the traffic light
anti bathroom labels man and woman
(how about human?)

I don’t want to be in contrast with you
make me lose my balance
let me be your synonym

      1. I’m off WordPress, gorgeous. But I found out I had to create a new Gravatar in order to still read, like and comment on my friend’s blogs.

      1. It is for him. There were educational tv short programs on Saturdays for kids ages and ages ago. They were called Schoolhouse Rock. (You can find them online). One of the English subjects one’s was called Conjunction Junction. Their was a line in the song “Conjunction Junction, what’s your function. “

  1. By the way, I love it and got the reference immediately. Masterfully produced, dear sister! I don’t know why but I am drawn to the line “my content is clearly stated on the bottle.” I could make that the tagline for Tom Being Tom. 😉

      1. I am doing okay. Thanks for asking! Looking forward to some time off from work in a couple of weeks so I can relax a bit and sort myself out. My back is better, thankfully, but I do proceed with caution every time I wipe my ass. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      1. Ha! I have no doubt we will all be read on VV again. The most likely explanation is actually that your submission got lost or they reached a submission cap. They only say no to things that are overtly violent, sexist, racist, etc. Your poem is brilliant and none of those things.
